Nicki Minaj Apologizes for Anti-Semitic Lyric Video
Nicki Minaj stirred up a different kind of controversy with the release of the lyric video to her song “Only.” The striking black, white and red visuals seemingly depict Nicki as a Hilter-like ruler. Yeah, you read that right. “Only” shows Nicki perched atop her throne with images that are similar to swastikas on surrounding curtains.
Well Nicki, whose career thrives off of controversial visuals, apologized for the anti-semitic clip saying, “I didn’t come up w/the concept, but I’m very sorry & take full responsibility if it has offended anyone. I’d never condone Nazism in my art.”
It’s hard to believe that anyone van look at the imagery and not think it resembles the Nazi movement. As much as we love Nicki, we can’t get with her on this one.
