Roland Martin talks President Obama’s decision to nominate Brooklyn prosecutor Lorretta Lynch as the first black woman to serve as the Attorney General. He talks to Barbara Arnwine, President & Executive Director of the National Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law (Lawyers’ Committee).

“Obviously it’s historic to have an African American woman to serve as Attorney General. Between 2012 and 2014 2 million more African American women registered to vote, so don’t believe this “we didn’t show up to the mid-term elections,” Arnwine said.
