A game of musical chairs was in session at Good Morning America over the weekend.
Josh Elliott is leaving the #1 rated morning news show to take a job at NBC Sports. Rumor has it that Elliott was in contract negotiations with ABC for weeks. Reportedly, ABC was offering Elliott $5 million annually. This was a significant raise over the $1 million he was making. According to the New York Daily News, one source close to the situation said that Elliott wanted $10 million to stay.
Amy Robach — who recently recovered from breast cancer and a double mastectomy — will become the new news reader and co-host on “GMA,” effective immediately.
