Fans in Monroe Louisiana were hotter that fish grease when a promoter pulled the wool over their eyes. Fans had purchased tickets online for up to $150 for what was supposed to be an “All Black Affair” birthday extravaganza, Saturday night at the Monroe Civic Center featuring R&B singer R. Kelly. The guy’s voice cracked like a pair of patent leather shoes on a cold day. Concert goers reported the performance did not occur until around 1 a.m., three hours after the 10 P.M. start time and he didn’t sing he lip synch R. Kelly songs.
