The Fuquay-Varina Community Library, 133 S. Fuquay Avenue, Fuquay-Varina, will reopen on Saturday, September 28, 2013, 10 a.m., with extended hours. The library closed in August for minor renovations including fresh paint, new carpet, and a new building layout to make the space more user-friendly.
All Wake community libraries extended operating hours effective Tuesday, September 3. The new hours of the library are:
· Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m.
· Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
· Closed on Sunday
Special events are planned on Saturday, September 28, to welcome back area library patrons. The Fuquay-Varina Woman’s Club will provide light refreshments. The schedule for the day includes:
· 10:30 a.m. – Family story time with librarian Laura Harpham
· 11:30 a.m. – Two hour craft time for children
· 2 p.m. – School Aged Super Special: Fish the Magish with storytelling, magic and balloon art
