Jennifer Hudson is one of the most talented and respected stars in all of Hollywood. Hudson turns 32 years old today and has proved there’s life after being booted off American Idol. The Oscar winner and former American Idol finalist has strength, resilience and has faced incredible personal pain and loss over the last few years.
In 2006, she played a Motown-era singer in the film Dream Girls and won a Golden Globe and an Oscar. She also won a Grammy in 2008 for her debut album. She’s gone on to star in additional screen projects, including the The Secret Life of Bees and the TV musical Smash. Hudson has started her own clothing line and contributed to the soundtrack for Think Like a Man and featured in 2012’s The Three Stooges and portrayed famous South African activist Winnie Mandela in the biopic.
Look for Hudson’s third studio album to be released in the first quarter of 2014. Hudson described the album as more “upbeat” than her previous material. She worked with Timbaland, Pharrell Williams, and RedOne, among others on this project.
