The state of New York has sued Donald Trump for running a phony “Trump University”, that promised to make it’s students rich; what students got was useless and expensive seminars.
New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman says Trump University engaged in deception at every stage of students advancement, with costly programs and caused financial harm; with Donald Trump’s knowledge and participation “Trump University” relied on Trump’s name recognition and celebrity status to take advantage of consumers who believed in the Trump brand. The lawsuit says students weren’t even able to land one real estate deal. New York Education Department years ago, told Trump his enterprise lacked a license and didn’t legally meet the definition of a University, and to change it’s name; the name was changed in 2011 to Trump Entrepreneur Institute.
