This is a case of: I’ll sue you, to keep you from suing me. If you remember Marvin Gaye’s “Got To give It Up”, you’re not old, just old school. Listen carefully to Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines”……..the songs sound very similar, and the Family of Marvin Gaye says “Blurred Lines” is TOO similar to “Got To Give It Up”; with that said Robin Thicke has taken steps to ensure he doesn’t lose any money because of the similarity. Thicke says “I respect and admire Marvin Gaye and his legacy, but I’m filing this lawsuit because of the many claims by the Gaye family of possible infringement.
