Eddie Murphy is back with his Beverly Hills Cop co-star Judge Reinhold. The two actors will reprise their roles from the 80s action film and have signed on for cameos in the pilot for the new Beverly Hills Cop television show.
Eddie Murphy will take on his role as Axel Foley, the junk talking detective, while Reinhold who plays by-the-book detective William “Billy” Rosewood. The new Beverly Hills Cop will focus on Axel Foley’s son, Aaron Foley, played by Brandon T. Jackson. Eddie Murphy will reportedly be appearing as the father figure.
After a rash of low-grossing films Murphy is still making movies, he will try his hand at reviving another 80s comedy. He’s signed on to star alongside Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger in a sequel of the hit 1988 comedy Twins.
