Birds do it, bees do and now Pandas? A Scottish zoo has been cranking up Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On,” in an effort to get their pandas in the mood for mating. The female pandas are only fertile for about two days a year, zookeepers have a difficult time getting them to reproduce.
Although it’s impossible to know for sure what’s going with the pandas, a spokesperson for the Zoo says the music appears to relax and soothe the male panda Yang Guang. Other methods to get the pandas ready include exercise, extra bamboo, and mood lighting. Zoo officials hope they do more than canoodle and seal the deal.
