Tony Romo‘s performance in Sunday night’s 28-18 loss to the Washington Washington Football Team brought his critics storming back to life just as the Dallas Cowboys quarterback appeared primed to slay his ghosts.

Romo paved the way for the Redskins‘ first NFC East title since 1999 by tossing three soul-crushing interceptions in defeat. Meanwhile, RG3 strengthened his argument for NFL Rookie of the Year honors with another clutch show, but it’s what the Redskins quarterback did away from the line of scrimmage that revealed his character.

“Don’t listen to what anybody else is saying about you. You’re a great QB, man,” Griffin is heard saying on the latest installment of Showtimes’s “Inside the NFL.”

Unless you’ve been locked inside a remote Russian fortress since Y2K, you’re aware that Romo takes his fair share of abuse, no matter how he plays. RG3 hears what we hear.
