A raccoon is to blame for a massive power outage in Rocky Mount.
The animal apparently got into the city’s point of delivery station causing a one-hour blackout to most of the city Monday night.
According to the Rocky Mount Telegram, the raccoon climbed a fence into the station – which delivers all of the city’s power – and went between two parts of the system, causing it to shut down.
