Dangerously hot and humid conditions expected into the weekend. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will produce dangerously high heat index values today. High temperatures toaday are expected to range from 97 to 102 degrees with maximum heat indices of 104 to 109 degrees.

-Temperature and heat index with high temperatures this afternoon will reach 99 to 103 degrees, with a heat index of 105 to 109 degrees.
-The heat will be most dangerous from late morning through Saturday evening.
-Prolonged exposure to these hot and humid condition can quickly lead to dehydration and heat stroke.
Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When possible reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening. If you work or spend time outdoors. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when possible and drink plenty of water.
To reduce risk during outdoor work schedule frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments.
