During Michelle Obama’s stay in South Africa, President Jacob Zuma failed to visit with her.

According to the Telegraph, he was unavailable to meet with her. Instead, he arranged for his prison’s minister to greet her upon her arrival Monday night, with one of his three wives, by the way.

But, the First Lady, along with daughters Sasha and Malia as well as with Mrs. Obama’s mother, Marian Robinson, were granted the rare opportunity to meet with 92-year-old Nelson Mandela at his home.

Michelle O took a trip to South Africa aiming to advance her international youth engagement as well as the push for “democracy, development, and economic opportunities across Africa.”

Perhaps the South African president’s avoidance of the US president’s wife is connected to the ongoing war by NATO (US) to remove Libya’s leader Col Muammar Gaddafi, whom Zuma supports and vice versa.
