Serena Williams Withdraws from Pan Pacific Open

According to a statement issued by the organizers of the 2010 Pan Pacific Open, tennis star Serena Williams has pulled out of the event because of her foot injury and the surgery she had to undergo as a result about two months ago.The younger of the two Williams sisters was signed up as the top-seeded player for the tournament starting on September 26.
