Thanks to the massive support of the community, the Wake County Animal Center halts plans to euthanize healthy animals.

To combat overcrowding, the Raleigh center is offering reduced adoption rates for available senior dogs and cats.

The Wake County Animal Center and several animal groups, will be at the Pet-Smart located at 2800 E. Millbrook Road in Raleigh this weekend for National Adoption Weekend. The event runs from 11am til 5pm. Animals are available for immediate adoption.

Today, the Wake County Animal Center is having their third annual Adopt an Addition Celebration to encourage pet adoption.
