This is almost outrageous or is it? A photographer in Canada has made a revolutionary move and released a book of pornography for the blind. The book is titled “Tactile Mind.” In it there are very descriptive images which features pages of people in the nude with sexually explicit captions made from thermoform plastic, the same material used for Braille.

Author Lisa Murphy of TactileMindBook.com says she put the book together so that she could include the blind in the sexualized society we live in today. It’s an involved process: An individual image takes up to 50 hours to make, and in turn, every book page is made by hand. Thus, the steep price – a copy of “Tactile Mind” goes for $225 Canadian dollars each. “Even sighted people want to touch it,” Murphy, 35, told the News. “Everyone needs outlets to use their imagination, whether they are sighted or not.”

Do you think that Ms. Murphy’s attempt to include the vision impaired into a commonly taboo form of entertainment was a great idea or simply too much? Let us know your thoughts here at FoxyNC.
