It’s Military Appreciation Day today at the North Carolina State Fair. The N.C. State Fair will pay tribute to members of the U.S. Military for their service to the country. A parade from the Graham Building to Waterfall State at Dorton Arena is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. and The first 3,000 people through the gates Wednesday will receive a United States flag. At noon, a program featuring the 440th Army Band will begin at the Waterfall Stage. The band will play at 12:30, 3
and 5 p.m. At 2 p.m., the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources will hold a military uniform revue.
To get a discount at gate Active-duty service members, reservists, retirees, National Guardsmen must have the following Identification for discount:
Valid Uniformed Services ID
Valid Common Access Card (CAC)
Valid North Carolina Driver’s License with Veteran Designation
Valid Veteran’s Affairs Health Identification Card
Photocopy of valid DD-214 Form
Photocopy of valid NGB-22 Form
