Today is National Voter Registration Day. Millions of potential voters did not vote in 2006, because they either missed a registration deadline or didn’t know how to register. November 4th is a midterm election, where voters will elect 471 members of Congress, 36 Governors, and 46 State Legislatures. Today, volunteers and organizations will “hit the streets” for National Voter Registration Day to reach out to hundreds of thousands to register them to vote.
