The Chargers Teen Volunteer Program offers a volunteer opportunity for teens ages 13-14 to participate in park beautification projects within Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department. Participants will engage in fun, educational activities that address important environmental issues at several local parks. The program focuses on the importance of volunteer service and a teen’s contribution to the Raleigh community.

Volunteer projects will take place 8:30am-12pm on Wednesday, July 16 at Marsh Creek Greenhouse, July 23 at Carolina Pines Park and July 30 at Mordecai Historic Park. Activities will include washing pots, planting seeds/trees, spreading chips/sand at playgrounds and parks.

A mandatory orientation for all participants and a parent/guardian will take place on Wednesday, July 9 from 6-7pm at Carolina Pines Community Center. Interested individuals may register for one, two, or all three projects.
