Top African Americans To Follow On Twitter (thumbnail)

Durham County Government will host a live chat via Twitter on Wednesday, April 23, 2014. The chat will align with the County’s celebration of National County Government Month with the 2014 theme Ready and Resilient Counties. Emergency Medical Services Director Skip Kirkwood and Pat Gentry, preparedness coordinator for the Durham County Department of Public Health with be the guest experts for the chat.

Kirkwood, the principal editor and major contributor, to the most recently released best practices manual Management of Ambulance Services, will give insight to how citizens should appropriately use emergency medical services offered in Durham. Gentry will highlight the County’s Medical Reserve Corps, a well-trained group of citizens created to serve the needs of the Durham community in response and recovery in case of public health emergencies.

The public is invited to tweet their questions from 1p.m. until 2p.m. to Durham County Government’s Twitter account @DurhamCounty. All tweeters are asked to use the conversation hashtag #AskDCo.
