The Durham and Wake school systems have decided when students will make-up snow days.

Wake County

Students on a traditional calendar will make the day up Thursday, June 12.

Year-round students in single-track schools and on Tracks 1, 3 and 4 will have to go to school on Saturday, March 8, to make up the most recent snow day.

Students on a modified calendar will make the day up on Wednesday, March 12.

Wake Early College of Health Sciences will make it up on Monday, March 24

NCSU Stem and Leadership Academies have a makeup day Monday, March 17.

Durham County

Because students are on track to meet the minimum number of required educational hours for the year, three of the snow days won’t need to be made up.

Students on a traditional calendar have missed five days to snow. They have already made up one of those days. Another makeup day is scheduled March 28. The other three won’t need to be made up.

Students in early college and middle college high schools have also missed five days. Their makeup days are March 10 and April 21.

Students on a year-round calendar and those at the City of Medicine Academy have missed four days to snow.

Year-round students have already made one of those days up. City of Medicine students will attend school March 10 as a makeup day.

District staff also announced a new date for the ACT exam for 11th graders. It will be administered March 18.
