In the spirit of entrepreneurship, 13 year-old Danielle Lei is a marketing genius. The California Girl Scout wanted to drum up more business, so she set up shop outside of a San Francisco marijuana dispensary, selling a 117 boxes in just two hours. That calculates to about one box per minute. Despite raised eyebrows from Girl Scouts of Colorado, a representative for the Girl Scouts of America said the decision of where to sell cookies is ultimately up to the parents.
While researching this story, I learned there is a strain of marijuana called Girl Scout Cookies. No word on whether the scouts will be adding the “magic cookies” made with this particular variety to their inventory anytime soon.
