You can make cooking easier; 5 ways to accomplish this without having everything come out of a box.
1- Store bought rotisserie chicken; you can shred it and make a variety of meals; save the bones for stock.
2- Salsa verde; real good condiments make a difference; baked salmon or roast chicken breasts become zingy and the aroma of herbs and garlic is great.
3- Pre cooked grains; you can boil and drain rice, lentils or beans and store them in air tight containers in the refrigerator; use as needed.
4- Buy more fish; few foods cook faster.
5- Puff pastry dough; this is the “Home Cooks” secret weapon; it can be topped with just about anything.
6- Stock up on stock; heat up the stock and put in chicken or fish or rice or beans; just about anything.
