Last year, there was a reported shortage of chicken wings. Now this year, one of the cheesiest things I’ve heard a shortage of Velveeta cheese. Football fans prepare for a possible shortage for the big game, the makers of the easily meltable cheese blocks Kraft foods, is having trouble keeping up with the Velveeta demand.
There’s a possibility consumers may not be able to find their favorite product on store shelves at a few East Coast grocery stores over the next couple of weeks. A staple at some sports-viewing parties, Queso dip, made of Velveeta and canned tomatoes and green chiles may not be on the menu due to the shortage.
Here’s a solution, what about the government block cheese that’s in storage. Just slap a Velveeta label on it… problem solve. I’m just saying.
