Beyoncé, has taken a page from the artist Prince because she’s tired of her music being leaked during the manufacturing and distribution stage, so she surprised the world with her fifth album exclusively on iTunes. Physical copies are expected in stores on December 21, an added bonus the album has 14 brand-new tracks and every track on the album is accompanied by its own music video.
Beyonce wants fans to have “that immersive experience,” she said. “Now people only listen to a few seconds of a song on their iPods and they don’t really invest in the whole experience. She explained she had been inspired by her memories of watching Michael Jackson’s Thriller video premiere in 1983.
In this body of work, she wears multiple hats as writer, producer and director. There’s and gamut of artists, songwriters, producers and video directors for her visual album that include JAY Z, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Pharrell Williams, Drake, The Dream, Sia, Ryan Tedder, Miguel, Frank Ocean just to name a few.
