6 a.m. – Fitness, Fellowship and Faith – Approximately 60 men will be climbing 110 flights of stairs at the parking deck located on the northwest corner of Blount and Hargett near Moore Square, across from Marbles.
8:30 a.m. – 4th Fighter Wing memorial event – Seymour Johnson AFB is hosting several events including a 21 gun salute, slideshow and speakers. The memorial 24-hour run will begin, ending at 9 a.m. Thursday.
8:30 a.m. – Remembrance Ceremony at Fort Bragg – The 82nd Airborne Band will perform along with a 21 gun salute and a wreath laying.
9 a.m. – 11 a.m. – First Responders Ceremony – The Airborne and Special Ops Foundation will be posting flags in honor of those first responders killed on 9/11 at the Special Operations Museum in Fayetteville.
9 a.m. – 11 a.m. – Corporate sponsors of the Durham Goodwill and Food Bank of N.C. will be harvesting and planting food at 4808 Chin Page Road.
9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. – Preschoolers will plant flags at Primrose School at West Lake, 4501 West Lake Road, Apex.
9:30 a.m. – Gov. Pat McCrory plans to attend the Sort-A-Rama in the Jim Graham Building at the N.C. State fairgrounds. 700 volunteers gather to bag 100,000 meals for families at-risk of hunger.
6 p.m. – Activate Raleigh is holding a food drive at Red Hat Amphitheater.
