TJCOG is partnering to offer workshops for first responders in select NC locations about the unique requirements for dealing with accidents involving alternative-fuel vehicles. Training will cover how to assess and approach an incident involving alternative-fuel vehicles, required personal protective equipment for responding to such an incident, general fire fighting measures and extrication.
For First Responders in Central and Eastern NC: The NC Solar Center and the Triangle Clean Cities Coalition will offer a two-day training at the McKimmon Center in Raleigh on Sep. 17-18.
For First Responders in Buncombe and Henderson Counties: The Land of Sky Regional Council and the Land of Sky Clean Vehicles Coalition will offer the training at Blue Ridge Community College on two dates, Sept. 19 and 20. Find more information and registration instructions here.
