Back-to-school shopping can also be a time of gathering information at University Mall on Saturday, August 24. Families will have an opportunity to visit with representatives from Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools at their booths between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. A variety of after school programs will be represented as well.
A number of free activities will be offered, including many designed to encourage student creativity:
10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Make and take art with Kidzu
10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Create personalized trail mix recipes
11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Personalize binders with the Scrap Exchange
1 p.m. Fashion Show
Additionally, there will be a drawing to win a $500 shopping spree at Dillard’s and martial arts and dance demos will be conducted on the stage.
