Memorial Day is more than catching a great sale or firing up the grill with family and friends. Memorial Day honors those who have lost their lives for our great freedoms while serving in the military.
Formerly known as Decoration Day, it originated after the American Civil War to commemorate the Union and Confederate soldiers who died in the Civil War.
