Born Quincy Delight Jones, Jr. His career spans five decades in the entertainment industry with a record 79 Grammy Award nominations,27 Grammy’s, including a Grammy Legend Award in 1991.

He was instrumental in producing Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” album. The album sold more than 110 million copies worldwide, Jones was also the producer and conductor for “We Are the World”.

In 1985, Jones scored the Steven Spielberg film adaptation of The Color Purple. Quincy Jones Productions later joined forces with Warner Communications to create Quincy Jones Entertainment, to create the television show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Jones is a man of many talents, he’s a record producer, conductor, arranger, composer, television producer, and trumpeter will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
