Grammy Award-winning songwriter, record producer, activist and actress is known as the “First Lady of Neo-Soul”. Born Erica Abi Wright, she’s given us great hits like “On And On”, “Next Lifetime” and “Tyrone.” Badu has appeared in the following films, Blues Brothers 2000, The Cider House Rules, House of D, Before the Music Dies, and Dave Chappelle’s Block Party. She is reported to have a leading role alongside Mos Def in the upcoming indie film, Bobby Zero.
