After failing sales and performances as a result of to a heavy drug addiction, Cole had a huge hit of the Bruce Springsteen’s “Pink Cadillac”. In the 1990s, she re-recorded standards by her father, resulting in her biggest success, Unforgettable… with Love. The single sold over seven million copies and also won Cole numerous Grammy Awards. She has sold over 30 million records worldwide.
In 2000, Cole released an autobiography, Angel on My Shoulder, which described her battle with drugs during much of her life. Her autobiography was turned into a made-for-TV movie, Livin’ for Love: The Natalie Cole Story.
