The Philadelphia Eagles named Chip Kelly their new head coach, the team confirmed Wednesday.
Kelly leaves the University of Oregon, where he posted a 46-7 record in four seasons.
Kelly received initial interest in the Eagles’ lengthy search to replace Andy Reid, but multiple reports said Kelly decided to stay at Oregon.
The Eagles officially were spurned by both Penn State’s Bill O’Brien and Notre Dame’s Brian Kelly.
