Regardless of race or ethnicity the most common cancer among men is prostate cancer.  Steps you can take to help decrease your chance of prostate are:

1- Drink coffee.  Harvard researchers aren’t sure what’s in coffee that’s good for the prostate, but men who drink 6 or more cups of coffee a day are 59% less likely to develop prostate cancer.

2- Avoid commercially baked donuts, cookies and packaged goods with hydrogenated oil. Men with high levels of trans fat have twice the risk of developing prostate cancer.

3- Eat cooked tomato products.  Lycopene is a pigment in tomatoes that reduces the risk of prostate cancer and becomes more potent when cooked.

4- Workout, eg/play tennis, run, swim, ride a bike.  Exercise reduces the risk of fatal forms of prostate cancer by 41%.

5- Eat fish.  Omega 3 fatty acids D.H.A. and E.P.A. are found in fish oil and they inhibit tumors.  Eating fish 3 times a week reduces your risk by 25%

6- Have Lots Of Sex.  The American Medical Association studied over 29 thousand men and discovered men who had 21 or more orgasms a month were 30% less likely to develop prostate cancer.
