The stage is set, and the excitement is at an all time high at the offices of Radio One Raleigh for Women’s Empowerment. It’s one of the biggest events on the east coast and has grown exponentially over the years. Women’s Empowerment has featured keynote speakers from Angela Bassett to Laila Ali bringing words of encouragement and empowerment to all participants.
This year’s keynote speaker is America’s Top Model and media entrepreneur Tyra Banks. Tomorrow will feature a special message from First Lady Michelle Obama, seminars: on health, wealth, communication, finances, home improvement and Black Men Revealed featuring Laz Alonso, Hosea Chanchez, Anthony Hamilton, Torry Holt, Bishop Frank Summerfield and Brian White. Radio host host Michael Baisden will also conduct a seminar. Musical talent includes Wale, Anthony Hamilton, Robin Thicke, Kim Burrell, Vashawn Mitchell and Kelly Price who will perform a tribute to Whitney Houston.
Doors open at 12noon and the show starts at 1p.m. Good seats ($45 Tickets) are still available and tickets can be purchsed at the kiosk located outside the RBC center 24/7.
