The re-election campaign of President Obama will host the National HBCU Obama Student Summit on the campus of NCCU tonight at 7:00P.m. at B. N. Duke Auditorium located at 1851 Fayetteville St. The campaign is trying to engage college students on issues that are of importance to them, and organize students to work for President Obama this fall.
The summit will feature discussions led by actress Gabrielle Union and NCCU students on education, jobs and healthcare. Participants include Valerie Jarrett, senior democratic strategist, and U.S. Rep. G.K. Butterfield.
The event launches the Greater Together program on historically black campuses nationwide. An advance RSVP is required at ofa.bo/ncsummit.
