Facts: * Foster parents, for children ages 0-17 years old, are needed in the Durham community.
* Durham County’s Department of Social Services (DSS) is seeking adults interested in foster parenting to attend an upcoming community information meeting to learn more about requirements and the process to becoming a foster parent.
* Attendees will also learn more about the resources available to foster parents.
* Foster care is a temporary living arrangement for abused, neglected, and dependent children who need a safe place to live when their parents and/or other relatives cannot take care of them.
* Foster care information sessions hosted by Durham County DSS are free and open to the public.
