April 23, 2012 is the date set for the start of the murder trial of William Balfour. The former brother in law of Jennifer Hudson is accused of murdering the singer’s mother, brother and nephew. The start of the trial has been delayed several times over the past 3 years at the request of the defense, so they could prepare. Motive for the murders is believed to be Balfour’s jealousy over is ex wife, Jennifer’s sister Julia, dating another man. Jennifer and Julia have started a charity in memory of their nephew and son, respectively.
