Wake County Public School System updated the web site for its new student assignment plan Friday.
On Monday, the district began a series of information sessions designed to walk parents through the process.
The new plan requires families to choose, based on their address, among a list of schools they would want to attend.
Families are supposed to have a choice of at least five elementary, two middle, and two high schools based on the student assignment plan approved by the Wake County Board of Education on Oct. 18.
