Authorities are working to determine whether the mutilated body of Delvonte Tisdale, a North Carolina student, found in a Boston suburb fell from a plane.

The gruesome remains of 16-year-old Delvonte Tisdale were found on the lawn of an upscale home in Milton, Mass., last week.

Police said the victim, who had no identification on him, suffered severe head trauma as well as broken arms and legs. The Boston Herald reports that some of his remains were found in two places on the street .

Logan International Airport spokesman Phil Orlandella said Tuesday that police are investigating the possibility that Tisdale was a stowaway on a jet bound for the airport.

The Norfolk district attorney’s office said it’s “investigating every possibility regarding how Delvonte Tisdale came to be found dead on Brierbrook Street” in Milton,” adding that “the investigation remains active and ongoing on multiple fronts.”

Tisdale, a student at North Mecklenburg High School, was last seen Nov. 14 near his home in Charlotte, N.C. His father reported him missing the next day, the station reports, and his body was found three hours later in a quiet Massachusetts neighborhood — without any shoes, shirt or identification.

The boy had a note in his pocket — a hall pass that included his last name — which helped investigators identify him.

Family members told the Charlotte Observer that Tisdale had run away from home and may have been on his way to visit family in Baltimore.
